I have the original SD Card pre buster. I have a 32 Gig SD Card that came with my Pi4. Is there a link somewhere to the buster image of SkyWeather I can load? Or do I need you to send me another card? I tried building it from the readme.md but some of it especially related to mysql and loading the data base either was outdated or fail (not connected).

I have cloned the obvious SDL directories from GIT but I expect I'm missing other steps. Look in the README.md file in the SDL_Pi_SkyWeather directory. It has a list of what else needs to be installed.

We will be releasing the Buster version in the next few weeks. No place to download the image unfortunately. It's too huge.

This should get you to a running script, without edits etc with a stripped down (lite) copy of Raspbian using N00bs. Its my preferred method of running, to only install the modules and packages that I need on a clean sdcard.
You will still need to edit config.py / conflocal.py to turn on what sensors and devices you have, as well as set your altitude for the barometer to be correct.

Thank you very much!

Topher,
Editing the config.py script really doesn't do any good. Those values are overwritten (except for the SolarMAX information) by the detection software in SkyWeather.py

I tried building it from the readme.md but some of it especially related to mysql and loading the data base either was outdated or fail (not connected). This seems a recurring problem, downloading a working SD Image, mentioned by many users. I mentioned it too. Perhaps SwitchDoc should provide a working SD Card Image. Hopefully my pull request may make it easier for others to build a working install.

We have a working SD Image but it is still hard to download. PM me and I'll send you a link. WE don't publish it because we can't figure out how to secure it.
