Hi, I will upload Local.py and my xml configuration file, where I have problem with SparkPlot LIVE and Activity Indicator. SparkPlot LIVE doesn't update on response from server. My problem with Activity Indicator has been described in another thread: "Activity Indicator - LIVE : Shows active server even if the server is not running. And as I can see a "YES" stops indicator and a "NO" (or empty string) shows activity" Regards Nisse Local.py (2.81 KB) 20140718B.xml (7.02 KB)

Nisse,
Just talked to the Engineer.
1) Sparkline Plots - They work fine, BUT, the documentation was reversed with the dynamic reports! I wrote that documentation, so I personally apologize for that documentation error. Fixed now. Your file works with the correct format. Here's the snippet.
# SPL-1 Sparkline Plot - LIVE elif (objectServerID == "SPL-1"):
#check for validate request # validate allows RasPiConnect to verify this object is here
if (validate == "YES"): outgoingXMLData += Validate.buildValidateResponse("YES") outgoingXMLData += BuildResponse.buildFooter() return outgoingXMLData
# # # Execute your code # #
# if (Config.debug()): print "In Local SPL-1"
import random #answer = random.randrange(0,100,1) answer = "68672.000000^^17457.000000^^16954.000000^^723.000000^^10874.000000^^10367.000000^^59561.000000^^56276.000000^^6379.000000^^40763.000000||" responseData = answer
if (Config.debug()): print "responseData =", responseData
# # # Done with your code # #
outgoingXMLData += BuildResponse.buildResponse(responseData) outgoingXMLData += BuildResponse.buildFooter() return outgoingXMLData
2) Regarding the activity indicator. Here's the bug (and it is fixed in the version coming out later in the week):
In an specific initialization case, the indicator would never turn off. If you put it to YES, and then without restarting the app, went to NO, it would stop. If you didn't toggle it, it never turned off. All fixed now.
Hope this helps! And I even got back to you on Monday!
Best regards,
BP

Thank you for your answer regarding this.
I now got Sparkline Plot working, when I return right values. I can see that you also have updated the documentation. Good work.
Activity Indicator, I wonder if you are aware of that the indicator shows activity for a server that is not on line ( powered off)
Looking forward to install the version of the app.
Regards Nisse
