Milo,
Does it happen every time you access the SunAirPlus board?
Assuming you are building GroveWeatherPi, please run the test program under SDL_Pi_TCA9545 and post the results.
Another debugging step would be removing the other I2C devices from the Raspberry Pi, plugging in the SunAirPlus directly into the Pi2Grover board (in one of the I2C slots) and running the test program under SDL_Pi_INA3221.
This will help us figure out what is going on.
Best regards,
BP

I plugged in the SunAirPlus directly into the Pi2Grover board (in one of the I2C slots) and ran the test program under SDL_Pi_INA3221.

Milo,
Great. Now we know that it is NOT a problem with the SunAirPlus. Next, put the SunAirPlus back in the proper place on the I2C Mux , WITH NO OTHER I2C devices attached to the I2C Mux.
Please run the test program under SDL_Pi_TCA9545 and post the results.

OK. It's there now.
Try running GroveWeatherPi and post the start of the program where it lists what devices are found.

Milo,
So, it works for a while? You see the readings from SunAirPlus?
would you post a close up of your I2C Mux board? There is something going on here.

I See the readings from sun air plus and everything is fine until the MySQL query than the error occurs always after that everything is fine again

Milo,
I think we are getting close.
And after the first time, everything starts working correctly, even the next MySQL query (15 minutes later I believe)?
If so, I think I understand the issue and we will fix it next revision. There is an error in initializing the lastRainReading variable. After the first cycle, that problem probably just goes away.

Milo,
Yes, 2.54mm,
It is scheduled for mid June development so I'd expect it out before the end of June. BP
