For some time I have been working on a project using an iPad running IOS 9.3.5 and RasPiConnect 3.18714172 to interface to a Raspberry Pi running Raspbian Jessie and RasPiConnectServer version 3.0. I am having intermittent problems with the pi connecting to the iPad. It seems as though the password set in the iPad app sometime is not recognized by the pi server. Also, the iPad app seems to have a problem reading the .xml file from the server.
I am starting to wonder if there is a problem with the IOS version (9.3.5) that my iPad is running. I see that release information on RasPiConnect 3.18714172 states that it is compatible with IOS 8. I would appreciate it if someone can tell me if RasPiConnect 3.18714172 IS/IS NOT compatible with IOS 9.3.5 or higher. If NOT compatible is the only work-around to downgrade my iPad to IOS 8 ? If this is the issue, I would also appreciate hearing if there are any plans to upgrade RasPiConnect to IOS 10.

Foggy,
As you may have read, SwitchDoc Labs just bought RasPiConnect from MiloCreek about two months ago. They will be releasing an iOS10 compatible version shortly.
We are having no problems with our versions running iOS9 and iOS10. Connecting perfectly. Maybe it is an internet problem, rather than an App problem. Run a "ping" test between your iPad and your Raspberry Pi and see if you are getting dropouts.

BP Hello, I see above that SwitchDoc Labs bought RasPiConnect from Milo Creek a few years ago; I can't seem to find it in the Apple store. Trying to follow along the LightSwarm project in Raspberry Pi Iot Project (Dr. Shovic/Apress book). I've built the swarm and have the pi setup, but can't find the app. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Doug

Doug,
We have discontinued the App. We are now revising the book to use a Blynk App, so stay tuned.

Hello fellow Raspberry Pi Owners
I see that RasPiConnect has come and gone. I wish to hear more about Blynk in the future. Meanwhile, I am using my Raspberry Pi to get readings from various sensors [e.g. I2C devices such as ina219 (Switch Doc: CVSensor) and the tmp102 plus some much simpler devices.] My applications are inside the home (not yet external). I recently succeeded to get readings from the ina219 (current and voltage sensor), if any of you are interested. But I wish to know how to use the SJ1 and SJ2 jumpers and the 2 plated-through holes that are located down and to the right of the word "Labs" on the CVSensor that uses the ina219. Is a data sheet available for the CVSensor board? If anyone needs python routines for the ina219 (simple code that really works), I can help you.
My interests are: Raspberry Pi, python, Raspberry Pi OS, I2C, html/php (for web-pages) and HC logic gates.
[If I have posted this to the wrong place in the switchdoc forum, please re-direct me. Perhaps a new forum group is needed, one that is not named "raspiconnect".]
