Maybe I missed something, but I'm getting several errors when starting up the SunIoT script.
pi@raspberrypi:~/SunIOT $ sudo python SunIOT.py SunIOT.py:21: RuntimeWarning: This channel is already in use, continuing anyway. Use GPIO.setwarnings(False) to disable warnings. GPIO.setup(LED, GPIO.OUT, initial=0) Traceback (most recent call last): File "SunIOT.py", line 30, in <module> sensor = SDL_Pi_SI1145.SDL_Pi_SI1145() File "./SDL_Pi_SI1145/SDL_Pi_SI1145.py", line 163, in __init__ self._reset() File "./SDL_Pi_SI1145/SDL_Pi_SI1145.py", line 170, in _reset self._device.write8(SI1145_REG_MEASRATE0, 0) File "./SDL_Pi_SI1145/I2C.py", line 114, in write8 self._bus.write_byte_data(self._address, register, value) File "build/bdist.linux-armv7l/egg/Adafruit_PureIO/smbus.py", line 236, in write_byte_data IOError: [Errno 121] Remote I/O error

Ok, fixed the error, operator bad.
I have the script running, but it shows nothing but zeros.

powder jockey, We will grab a sunlight sensor and see what is going on. BP I think I found the problem with this too. Lack of enough power coming from by portable solar battery. pi@raspberrypi:~/SunIOT_InitialState $ sudo python SunIOT_InitialState.py File "SunIOT_InitialState.py", line 20 streamer = Streamer(bucket_name= InitalState_Bucket_Name bucket_key=InitialState_Bucket_Key, access_key=InitialState_Access_Key) ^ SyntaxError: invalid syntax I get this error. The keys have been entered into the initialstate location in the script. Scott

There is a couple of errors in the SunIOT_InitialState.py file which will up on the Github with the errors. Line 20. Below is the corrected version. Was missing an "i" in the first InitialState and comma after Name.
streamer = Streamer(bucket_name = InitialState_Bucket_Name, bucket_key = InitialState_Bucket_Key, access_key = InitialState_Access_Key)

This working with the data being uploaded to Freeboard. Would like to capture the data in mysql/myPhpadmin, create my own charts as the OurWeather does. Also, I need a lesson or two to use this data with Node-Red! Attachments:
