Hello John, Doug, BP, Sorry I was a little busy at work, could not get back at you earlier. So I am getting the same thing as Doug (with version 15), when I tried to push the rotary, the software seems to crash actually. romain@raspberrypi:~/SDL_Pi_SmartPlantPi $ sudo python -u ./SmartPlantPi.py > ../SmartPlantPiRomainDebug2.log Traceback (most recent call last): File "./SmartPlantPi.py", line 999, in <module> jobRotaryTimeOut = interpretRotary.interpretRotary(rotary, display, OLEDLock, scheduler, publishStatusToPubNub, jobRotaryTimeOut, updateState, publishAlarmToPubNub, saveState) File "/home/romain/SDL_Pi_SmartPlantPi/interpretRotary.py", line 293, in interpretRotary if (DEBUG): NameError: global name 'DEBUG' is not defined Also, it am not detecting the water is full, even though I push once on the pushbutton. See logs attached until it freezes. I will load the version 16 now in case you guys fixed anything about it. Thanks again for your support. Romain

I'm seeing 18 hours of continuous success on v 16. I've gone through multiple watering triggers and the script is still humming along. Nice work SDL! I'll continue to let this run and report back if anything pops up.
thanks again,

Hello again, All right, I just tried v16. The crash is not happening anymore when using the rotary (thanks for the fix!). But I am always seeing the water as empty, even when I push to the button once (I double check and the connections are correct, Grove Button (Part I) Pi2Grover (Part A) D20/D21 Standalone Pushbutton). I also tried the double push or the triple push as per the doc to set or reset the humidity threshold but it does not seems to work. The watering seems to work properly though, which is surprising because the soft is seeing no water. Shouldn't the software see the water full when starting the software, then once running out of water, set it to empty? Shouldn't the watering not happening if the software detect no water? How can I troubleshoot and test the Grove Button? See some logs while trying to reset the water level with the Grove Button. Thanks & Regards, Romain

Yes, you are correct. You should see the water full as soon as it tries to water with the water full. I quickly duplicated this so it goes on the mini bug week list next week.
I think that John's lock fix may have affected this. I'll talk to him.

Hmmm. SmartPlantPi V016 seems to work correctly and shows the water full. I'll let it run out to make sure it registers empty. BP
