Should installing RaspiConnect Server affect the graph creation in GroveWeatherPi? On 2 different installs of GroveWeatherPi, I created a symbolic link to the static directory in the /var/www/html folder and everything worked great. Then as soon as I install RaspiConnect Server (and I also ran it once each time to test that it connected to the iPad app, which it did), the GroveWeatherPi graphs stop updating. In the GroveWeatherPi log file it shows that it is processing each graph creation routine and then that it is finished (and no error message), yet the png files in static are not updated and still time stamped with the date/time that I installed RaspiConnectServer.
If that is not normal, is there a log file somewhere, or way to run one that would document the graphing routine to see what is going wrong? I'm still a long way from getting the RaspiConnect app setup to work with GroveWeatherPi. All the sample files are for other projects and I haven't had the time to devote yet to learn how to set it up from scratch, or modify the Project Curacao files which seem closest to GroveWeatherPi.
Also, any plans to update the GroveWeatherPi software to work with the Grove Power Save, Power Drive and Pi Camera (and any other goodies you add)? I know I can add them manually, but then I would have to redo a lot of stuff every time you update the software and I do a git pull on the updated repository.

Robert,
It has something to do with the symbolic link. I assume the dates stop changing not he MatPlotLib graphs?
When I get a chance, I'll look at our GroveWeatherPi and RasPiConnect setup.
This has something to do with your setup, as our GroveWeatherPi system outdoors is working fine with RasPiConnect.
Look in the static directory in your GroveWeatherPi directory.
Yes, we are planning to update GroveWeatherPi to support all the new power saving options and the camera. It's all prototyped in Project Curacao2 and it will be moved over. As far as scheduling goes right now, it looks like that will happen in October.
Best, BP

Robert, It has something to do with the symbolic link. I assume the dates stop changing not he MatPlotLib graphs? Best, BP No,the dates and Matplotlib graphs all stop changing. It's not the symbolic link, the png files in /static are never updated. Running ls -lt on the /static folder shows all 4 of the png files with an unchanging timestamp of July 23 20:08, which is also the last date on the graph when you view it. This has happened twice to me on different installs, graphs are working great - I install RaspiConnect Server - next time I checked the graphs they have stopped updating. What can I do to find where the graphing process is failing?

This is a complex thing for us to check and figure out. I'll put it on the bug list and we can figure it out. It's something to do with the symbolic links or directories.
Are you running the software via "sudo"? That would fix any permissions problems.

Are you running the software via "sudo"? BP Yes. I'm starting it in rc.local with the line directly from the instructable/tutorial that does use sudo. In both installations of the software the graphs worked great for over a week. On the second installation, I am sure I changed nothing other than installing RaspiConnect Server before it stopped.
