I get the following error (as is a possibility on the wiki):
pi@apple-pi ~/RasPiConnectServer $ python RasPiConnectServer.py http://192.168.1.138:9600/ Traceback (most recent call last): File "RasPiConnectServer.py", line 22, in <module> import web ImportError: No module named web
This is reported as not having web.py installed, but this will not install either and returns the following error:
pi@apple-pi ~/RasPiConnectServer $ sudo easy_install web.py Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/local/bin/easy_install", line 9, in <module> load_entry_point('distribute', 'console_scripts', 'easy_install')() File "/usr/local/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/setuptools-0.9.8-py2.7.egg/pkg_resources.py", line 378, in load_entry_point return get_distribution(dist).load_entry_point(group, name) File "/usr/local/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/setuptools-0.9.8-py2.7.egg/pkg_resources.py", line 2565, in load_entry_point raise ImportError("Entry point %r not found" % ((group,name),)) ImportError: Entry point ('console_scripts', 'easy_install') not found pi@apple-pi ~/RasPiConnectServer $
I'm running the latest version of Raspbian and am a new user and new to linux so am really struggling to get this working. Any help would be appreciated.
Many Thanks. G.

applepi,
We've had this question now three times. There is some difference between our setup and your setup.
We are taking a new Raspberry Pi tomorrow and setting it up from scratch (with Raspbian) and see if we can find out what we missed. Hopefully, we will. Otherwise we will be back with questions.
Best regards,
BP

applepi,
We think we have fixed the documentation for the installation (specifically easy_install problems) now on the Wiki. No question about it, some installations would fail.
The easiest way to install easy_install is to execute this command:
sudo apt-get install python-setuptools
Best regards,
BP

Hi BP.
Everything works just fine now, the Wiki is just spot on now. Many thanks for your assistance.
Also now got a basic test configuration set up and accessible via my iPad and all is working as expected. Now looking forward to some serious messing around and getting this thing being productive.
Once again, many thanks.

Glad to hear that. Send us screenshots and tell us what you have done with it!
