Hi I know I'm probably doing something stupidly wrong here but can anybody help with this problem please
I can connect to the RaspiConnectServer which talks to my Raspberrypi via Wifi on my Iphone and all works fine. However when I try to use the mobile phone network only it fails to connect. What am I doing wrong?
I've port forwarded my home router to 9600 and selected the IP address on my Raspberrypi. Is there anything else I should have done? Have I used the correct port numbers?
Cheers
Phil

Hi Phil,
#1) reboot your router. Sometimes that helps (see other posts on here).
#2) You say "selected the IP address on my Raspberry Pi". I assume you know that you can't see that particular IP address outside your router (which the cellular network is definitely outside).
Try the following in the browser on your iPhone:
"http://<yourdomain name or EXTERNAL ip Address>:<yourportnumber>/Version"
and see if you connect. For example:
There are a bunch of tutorials on port forwarding on the web. Check them out to see if you have configured your router properly.
Hope this helps!
Best regards,
BP

BP
Thanks once again for you support, all sorted now. I used the IP address of my RaspberryPi instead of my routers gateway address. It works fine now although my router occasionally locks up and needs resetting.
Cheer for your help.
Phil
