Thanks, I'm not sure how long I spent looking for things yesterday.

Today I received my 3.7v 6600maH battery and plugged it into the suncontroller board, the JST2 female connector(top left) and then connected a solar panel to the lower left female connector. within seconds the board extremely hot to hold/touch and a bad smell. I unplugged the solar panel and the battery. While unplugging the battery, the wires came out of the male JST2 connector.
Did I do something wrong and is the board toast? The wires ends are fine and I just need to try and slide them back into the connector end.

Whoa! You have a bad board. Did you happen to place anything heavy on the board?
When and where did you get the board? We will replace it if is under warranty.
Never pull the battery by the wires. Only by the plug. needle nose pliers work well.

Did use it that summer, but put it away after the summer.
Also, can you tell me where to purchase the circled item in the attached image?
Thanks

When build this yesterday, all of the pieces printed out and painted. I go to pull out the solar panels out of the bubble wrap packing and one of the panels has the black wire hanging, swinging in the wind. One more small set back to getting my SkyWeather up and running.

Ack! Good thing you know how to use a soldering iron! Check out the test unit here at SwitchDoc Labs. It's up and down so don't count on it being there! skyweather.weatherstem.com/shelleylakeBP
