I think I misunderstood your problem. I'll get back with Ed at WeatherSTEM about this.

Its a mqtt station. Its part of the plugin, but is not specific for Sky Weather. It listens to a mqtt topic and expects the payload to be a json coded dictionary that is directly forwarded as weewx loop-data. So it's up to the client to use proper dictionary keys/fields. If just using default keys/fields (e.g. outTemp etc as found in the default weewx db) it works without any change to db schema etc. But since Sky Weather uses additional fields, the plugin also contains an updated db schema. I have something working already, but I'm not happy with my Lightning data... So I'll have some more work to do there. If there any interest I could try to upload my stuff once I've a version I'm happy with. Run into some problems with the boards, so I'm currently waiting for replacements... I am right in that your software is sending data to weewx and not collecting it directly. I have weewx running on my main server and would like to send the skyweather data to weewx in my case the sql server is on a different machine as well but i have data loading to it fine with skyweather. I would be interested in your code if it does allow weewx to on another computer is it avail via github?

renegadeSorry, but I missed your message. I've not been that active on the message board for a while. It was that years summer project, but I had some issues and had to return the board and wait for a new ones... After the summer holiday I unfortunately did not have time to continue... My code is not on github, but let me know if anybody is interested and I'll attach the code here! Let me know if you need an example weewx config file. I'll need to strip it from sensitive info first. weewx-skyweather.zip (19.32 KB) What I've done is some adjustments in an old version of the SkyWeather code to send data over MQTT. (new python files and the updated skyweather files are included, to show how to use it). Also I've implemented a skyweather station driver that processes the MQTT messages. For myself I've instead started looking into reusing the SkyWeather hardware in another way. I'm interested in creating a ESP32 based weather rack that will send the data directly through MQTT. I feel the SkyWeather code is to complex for that purpose.
