How about swapping out the power supply?

stopped after about 2 days. Last night at about 2100 hours.
pi@skyweather:~ $ ps xaf | grep python 24670 pts/0 S+ 0:00 | \_ grep --color=auto python pi@skyweather:~ $ ps -xaf | grep python 24672 pts/0 S+ 0:00 | \_ grep --color=auto python pi@skyweather:~ $
Output of the command you suggested. not much there.
It must have restarted as I needed to run the sudo pigpiod command. Now, I don't have the command for getting things started set up for automatically starting. I removed it has I was having trouble getting at the device with VNC.

OK. This tells us a lot. It tells us that SkyWeather has bombed. It is not running!
Can you show us the last part of the nohup.out log?

Had another crash today, sometime, and VNC and ssh will not access the unit. I can however ping the device. I think this has something to do with my WiFi as this is not the only device to loose contact with the world. I will change the WiFi access and seem what happens.

Again, give us the final 100 lines in the nohup.out final leading up to the bomb. However, you are correct, it could be the WiFi access point.

What was left in the nohup.out file. I feel this is not correct either as it has the date of Sept 13. Should be late Sept.

While it is tough to tell from this, it looks like a network problem. See the WeatherUnderground fails?

Crap. Once again. Can't ssh into nor VNC. Ping as usual is just fine.
Man this is frustrating.

Did you try a different access point?
I'm wondering if you have a bad Raspberry Pi. Do you have one you could swap out?

Ok, back at this as the past couple of weeks were a bit hectic. I pulled the Pi out and placed and set it up on my work bench and connected without any of the SkyWeather parts. It seemed to boot just fine and run as expected. I started the SkyWeather.py and of course it didn't go very far. I wasn't sure how to test it. I then put the Pi back into the box and reattached the boards. Then I had a problem accessing it from VNC and thru the CLI. Frustration. I then just pulled the micro SD card out and placed it into another Pi and it booted just fine and was able to access it thru VNC. More frustration. I had changed all of my devices in the house to a different port for ssh and wondered if the update I had performed on the Pi perhaps overwrote files. Nope, they were fine. Then I remembered I had installed Catalina on the Mac. Sure enough there was a change, back to port 22. With that fixed, access was granted thru the CLI and VNC. I also deleted one of the WiFi access points so the Pi would not try to connect to it.
It is up and running. So I'll see what happens.

Had the device do a 5 day reboot just after midnight today. I don't have any auto restart set up so after restarting ran this to see what it produces since it did nothing other times.
Thing is, I don't remember running sudo pigpiod.
ps xaf | grep python 4935 pts/0 S+ 0:00 | | \_ sudo python SkyWeather.py 4939 pts/0 Sl+ 0:37 | | \_ python SkyWeather.py 5082 pts/1 S+ 0:00 | \_ grep --color=auto python pi@skyweather:~ $

Dust sensor won't work without pigpiod running.

UPDATE:
After getting the WiFi issue working now and letting the system run on its own for the past few weeks, it seems to be working just fine. Every 5 days it reboots as per the software and then sits idle as I have not had any success in the auto restart. If the auto restart does not work as expected, it hangs and I need to get a monitor out to the system which isn' t ideal. I guess I could unmount the system and bring it into the house, but that isn't ideal either.
So, I've seen a couple of different versions of the auto start. Which is the one that would provide the best results? Winter is around the corner and I don't want to have to touch this again until Spring 2020!!

Would you send me the exact code that you put in rc.local?
All this code works well on our units.
