is there an easy way to see what version you are running on your station, as well as what version is available for download? i dont like blindly upgrading, but looking for a fix to the white balance issues with teh camera that were reported by others...

The version, im sure there may be an easier way, is "sudo nano SkyWeather.py" That will show you config.SWVERSION = "xxx" (xxx is your software version) I have a bunch of edits, courtesy of ImpactOz, so not going to update software unless I have to.. I have used Filezilla (or fav ftp client) to log into my Pi and download some key files (SkyWeather.py, config.py, SkyCamera.py and a couple of extras that ive edited) The camera issue is found HERE and the code is to edit SkyCamera.py file If you look at your part of the code you will see you need to add the "sleep" # Camera warm-up time
time.sleep(2)
camera.capture('static/skycamera.jpg')
camera.capture('static/skycamera-raw.jpg') Watch for indentation, Python NEEDS it, so make sure you're all lined up. Updating is easy, and im sure BP or others may have different opinions, however if I dont NEED to update, I wont be. There will be minor tweaks, which will make things run better, or remove various bugs, that is why I took copies of my edited files. If I do an upgrade, I can either slip the code back in to the new files, or overwrite them completely.
