Hi,
I put the code into the conflocal file, registerd my system at weatherstem, but there is no data transferred. I can not see the upload in the logging and I did set the USEWEATHERSTEM to True...
Where to look further?

Peter,
Look in your nohup.out file for the send and the response to WeatherSTEM. Copy it here. That will tell us what is going on.
# WeatherSTEM configuration
USEWEATHERSTEM = False INTERVAL_CAM_PICS__SECONDS = 60 STATIONMAC = MACADDRESS STATIONKEY="XXXXYYYY"
you have to set your station key too.

The only refference to STEM in the logging is
pi@IBADHOEV14:~/SDL_Pi_SkyWeather $ skyGrep UseWeatherStem UseWeatherStem: Present
My config is:
# WeatherSTEM configuration
USEWEATHERSTEM = True INTERVAL_CAM_PICS__SECONDS = 600 STATIONMAC = MACADDRESS STATIONKEY="MyKeyHere" STATIONHARDWARE=""

Ahhhh, I dug through the code and I guess my problem is a disconnected camera... Since I had yet to decide on a sensible location for the camera, I left it out for now. But it seems the WeatherSTEM system is only triggered after taking a SkyPicture, which fails because of a missing camera... Will connect it when I get home and try again. Why does WeatherSTEM NEED the pictures?

Oh, it is a current requirement of our partnership. John is talking to him about supporting OurWeather which does not have a camera so we would change SkyWeather too if agreed.

No problem, I just was not aware of the fact. Given the fact my setup would produce mainly pictures of my balcony I left it out to start with. But I am about to connect it and see what happens.
