Hi, To report to WeatherSTEM, I had to connect and enable my camera. Since that, SkyWeather hangs on startup... Output stops at:
pi@IBADHOEV14:~/SDL_Pi_SkyWeather $ sudo python /home/pi/SDL_Pi_SkyWeather/SkyWeather.py (8.16, 2, 0) () ('Pi Camera Revision', u'ov5647') ('after bme680', True) as3935 start I/O error(121): Remote I/O error I/O error(121): Remote I/O error after SHT30
When I break there with CTRL-C, the program resumes:
() ('Pi Camera Revision', u'ov5647') ('after bme680', True) as3935 start I/O error(121): Remote I/O error I/O error(121): Remote I/O error after SHT30 ^C SkyWeather Weather Station Version 055 - SwitchDoc Labs

Plug in an SHT30 or an AM2315 and see if that fixes it. I think it is waiting for a response from the AM2315.

I moved the AM2315 to the other end of the WX link again in the same operation... Which link is not working yet also I am going over the complete setup, step by step again when I got the time.

I have the same problem. The boot stops at 'after SHT 30' if the AM2315 is attached to the WXLink, and takes a control-C, to get the boot to continue. With a FTDI attached to the Grove Pro Mini LP, it is sending the AM2315 data. Moving the AM2315 back to the Raspberry Pi allows the system to complete booting. Suggestions?

What version of SkyWeathe.py are you running? I have an idea that I want to check out.
I think it is taking a long time to check for the AM2315.

OK, I think I see what is happening. This has to do with the gymnastics we go through to make sure an AM2315 works reliably.
Go into SkyWeather.py and comment out 774 and uncomment 775. That should fix your problem with not having an AM2315 or an SHT30 present.
Currently in V055
outsideHumidity, outsideTemperature, crc_check = am2315.read_humidity_temperature_crc() #outsideHumidity, outsideTemperature, crc_check = am2315.fast_read_humidity_temperature_crc()
Change to:
#outsideHumidity, outsideTemperature, crc_check = am2315.read_humidity_temperature_crc() outsideHumidity, outsideTemperature, crc_check = am2315.fast_read_humidity_temperature_crc()
This bypasses the elaborate time using detection routine.
