I just received my new OurWeather V2 and the only way I can get it to connect to my WiFi is if I am standing right next to my Orbi router. When I check on my router it shows that the link is only 1Mbps. I don’t think that is normal. Any ideas?

you need to use an antenna! did you connect one? . I have several other ESP32’s around my house and they don’t have external antennas and they work perfectly. I have some antennas ordered but I wasn’t expecting these results.

There is no onboard antenna on the pcb thats why you need and external one.

Because ESP32s with the internal antenna have such bad range, we decided to have an external antenna. #1 customer request feature on the V2!

Very similar antennas. Those should work really well.

Just for future reference of others. The antenna I ordered (see above) worked great. It is a bit of a challenge fitting such a small connector, but after that it fires right up and works well.
