Finally getting around to putting together my SolarMax LiPoly system that I got last August. It won't initialize because of not being able to initialize the Lora card.
The Micro-LP, at the console, says it is a WXLink but comes back with Init Failure on the LORA entering a wait look and finally triggers when the watchdog triggers a reset.
I debugged this against my SolarMax Lead Acid system, which is working well. Traced the issue to the LP board that came with the LiPoly system. The problem follows this board: the LiPoly LP wont work in the Lead Acid chassis, giving the same Lora Wont init error. However the working Lead Acid LP also works in the new LiPoly box - i just swap cables. So I know the rest of the LiPoly box is assembled and cabled correctly. Just to be sure, I put the original (suspect) LiPoly board back in the LiPoly chassis and the problem followed it back, so it wasn't a loose cable.
I visually checked the LiPoly board against the Lead Acid board under my microscope. I dont see any missing components on the LiPoly Mini LP, and the solder jumpers are the same on both. The only visual difference I see is the RX box is colored in on the working board, neither RX or TX is colored in on the "failing" board. See attached picture, if you orient it "up" with the writing, and the charging USB connector down, the "bottom" board is the "good" one with the blue dot in the RX silkscreen.

I checked the spec on the LP board and there is a reference in the driver code that this box will be colored RX if you set it up as a receiver here (https://github.com/switchdoclabs/SDL_Arduino_WXLink_Rx) but I am having trouble compiling sources for this board to even try it (see my other post here forum.switchdoc.com/thread/1263/mini-lp-code-compile-problem)
I dont have schematics to do any probing to check signals and not sure where to go next. If it's a bad board, I'm not sure how long your warranty is to arrange a replacement, or if I should just get a new one, if there is troubleshooting techniques I can try or if it's just the wrong code in the board. The "suspect" LP was received on order number 3011.
Thanks again for the help.
