Just saw these messages in my Log:

am I right to assume that I could connect a fan? If yes - where? Note that I have a Suncontrol Board, and when looking at it, I don't see a connector. Or am I looking at the wrong spot?

Looking at the software, it appears that the fan state has to be 'TRUE' for the software to work. The only place I could find this state setting is in 'state.py'. So I assume that I change the fan state to true in 'state.py'. Correct ?

No, the fan state will be changed to TRUE by the software when the temperature is over the limit.

I solved the rpi heating problem with a fan powered by a small (8x8) solar panel and a close--on-rise thermal switch set at 70 F. If the temp inside the box exceeds 70 the fan comes on. If it is too cloudy for the solar panel the temp inside the box doesn't get above 70 anyway.

Awesome! Could you post your part numbers and some pictures to help others out?
