Hi, I recently bought a SkyWeather kit. Yesterday I completed the assembly and testing guide (SkyWeather Assembly and Testing Guide v1.7). Everything is working, except rain bucket (wind speed and direction is working as expected). Total rainfall was always zero, despite moving rain gauge quite a lot. I have checked if it's wired correctly twice. Today I was playing (checking different positions) with reed sensor in the rain gauge and found out that if I move reed sensor a little bit (1-2mm) in the right side (looking from magnet side - picture bellow) rain bucket is working fine (Total rain fall is changing when I move rain gauge). Photo: photos.app.goo.gl/toM7m1rAxz9MwYdG9I can do some modifications to rain gauge, but I still wonder what is the reason for this behavior? I will be grateful for any help you can provide. Best regards, Ales

Just a quick update. The rain bucket is not working correctly. Sometimes it registers "magnet swing" correctly for 10 times or even more (every time total rainfall increases for around 0,011 inch), then it just stops. And the other time every N-th swing from one to the other side is registered. But most of the time it doesn't work. I don't know if there is a bad contact somewhere (it doesn't look like) or reed switch is not working correctly. I notice that there is a little crack on reed switch glass.
One other thing, for a short period of time, I notice the electronic clicking of the reed switch (during that period it was working fine). I guess this is the intended behavior?

What just stops? The clicking or the reading? Sounds like a bad rain gauge.
Here is an RMA# for the Rain bucket.
