Having some issues with the pixel strip.
I've gotten past the error regarding importing the SDL_Pi_8PixelStrip.
Now I get an error saying the hardware is not supported.
pi@plantadmin$ sudo PYTHONPATH="/home/pi/SDL_Pi_SmartGardenSystem/SDL_Pi_8PixelStrip/python/build/lib.linux-armv7l-2.7" python SGS.py
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "SGS.py", line 108, in <module>
strip.begin()
File "/home/pi/SDL_Pi_SmartGardenSystem/SDL_Pi_8PixelStrip/python/build/lib.linux-armv7l-2.7/neopixel.py", line 106, in begin
raise RuntimeError('ws2811_init failed with code {0} ({1})'.format(resp, message))
RuntimeError: ws2811_init failed with code -3 (Hardware revision is not supported)
What are the settings for the pixel strip? Here's the config I used in the setup... in the strandtest.py:
LED_COUNT = 16 # Number of LED pixels.
LED_PIN = 18 # GPIO pin connected to the pixels (18 uses PWM!).
#LED_PIN = 10 # GPIO pin connected to the pixels (10 uses SPI /dev/spidev0.0).
LED_FREQ_HZ = 800000 # LED signal frequency in hertz (usually 800khz)
LED_DMA = 10 # DMA channel to use for generating signal (try 10)
LED_BRIGHTNESS = 255 # Set to 0 for darkest and 255 for brightest
LED_INVERT = False # True to invert the signal (when using NPN transistor level shift)
LED_CHANNEL = 0 # set to '1' for GPIOs 13, 19, 41, 45 or 53
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm sure this is the last little hurdle.
Thanks!

Are you using one of our SDCards?
What is the OS you are running?
What Raspberry Pi are you running?
First time we have seen this!
