Hi,
Has anyone of you successfully created a working SkyWeather distro for RPi4 or any other? Would you be so kind to either point out issues during installation or simply post an ISO/Etcher file?

Agree with Murphy about the Pi4 is overkill. Thank you Murphy!

it is not even the CPU requirement that I see as a problem with a Raspberry PI 3/4 - it is the CPU temperature. the PI4 os known to run very hot. And then add the 50⁰C the Sun will add to the enclosure.
IMHO, a Raspberry PI 3B+ is largely enough. Even the B+ with 510MB ram. But these are still using the larde SD-Cards which break quite fast. IMHO, we'd need a PI Zero type device with some eMMC (8Gb) onboard. That would be the ideal candidate for a weather-station.

Here in North Carolina, I’m guessing a fan would be a necessity even for a Pi Zero W in direct sunlight. I used a Pi Zero W on top of a birdhouse and couldn’t keep it running due to temperature. Admittedly, I did some stupid things in my design like use a sealed box and stacked the board on top of a noir camera that generates heat. I need a massive dining table in my garage to dry before I can start building version two though so likely a fall project 😀
