Anyone noticed that the temperature is locked to a fixed value on weekly restart? Had to manually restart the PI to have it unlocked. Nothing visible in the logs.

I suppose it has to do with the fact that while querying the sensor, the device is rebooted and when the PI copmes back, the sensor is locked. Eventually we have to make sure all sensors are closed bevor initiating the reboot? Didn't check that routine though.

I really think it takes a reapplication of power (off then on) to unfreeze the AM2315 that is locked in this condition.

That is a valid point. Question would be why only the temperatur sensor is affected. Humidity worked.

Good question. That indicates that the I2C interface is still working. That seems like something else than the typical problem.
