Greetings,

I am putting this project together with my son and we are stuck. We are using a raspberry pi 4.

We are thinking there is an error with the Camera "I/O error(121): Remote I/O error"

Then we get to the end and have some traceback errors:

That error is coming out after the BME680 setup fails. it has nothing to do with the camera. the software can't find the device. The errors later on are because it can't be found find and the variable bme680 is not instantiated so you get the UnboundLocalError. The list of devices present has the bme680 as not present.

This sensor is part of the Piweatherboard so it should be on the correct bus unless something is plugged in the wrong place - check your connections.

BP might have some suggestions on how to proceed.

I cannot get the dme680 to show up on the i2c network. It should show up as a 77 interrupt. Not sure how to proceed, Thanks Bean

I found the problem, you cannot communicate with the DME680 if it is not there! Looking at the images it doesn't appear that the DME680 was knocked off the board. If it was torn from the board I would expect the solder joints to be a bit rough. Solder is on the pads of the board but they are smooth and do not appear to have had a sensor attached.

I guess I will order a new weather board and hope the sensor is on the board this time.
