I have been having trouble with a reliable wifi connection.
I have been trying to set a static ip address to keep the connection active. My router dhcp shows the reserved address.
However, pi4 attempts to connect and then disables wlan0 If you restart dhcpcd it gives wlan0 a strange ip address
I finally found a recent google article but it didn't work, older ones are contradictory.
Is there a reliable current source? My wpa_supplicant.conf hasn't changed but I have tried everything else.
Anybody have an answer or a reliable source?
Thanks Wallace

Wallace,
I haven't seen anything like this. What are you using for the base OS? Is this our SDCard?

You probably did this already - but just checking
Defined a static address for wlan0 in dhcpcd.conf along with static router and dns?
Example:
interface wlan0 static ip_address=192.168.1.85/24 RPI address - here the RPI's is 85 static routers=192.168.1.1 your router address static domain_name_servers=192.168.1.1 your router addressAlso. is the address assigned to the RPI in the router's DHCP address range? it shouldn't be. Most(?) routers start their DHCP range at 100

Been there done that. Commented it out. Depending on router to assign static until I can figure it out. Thanks Wallace
