Hi,
After testing a few of these units for runtime on the PKCell 6600 battery I wonder whether others would also find it useful to be notified via email/text of a low battery charge level at some specified level? (10 - 5%)

I was talking to BP about a modification that would shutdown the sensor when the battery level was low as opposed to a fail and as soon as it charged restart. It isn't really practical to climb up open the box and plug in a charger.

Yes, exactly. Then start up when the battery recovers.
Since you have all the information from all of the solar power systems, it would be cool to add them to the status page. I'm going to do that! I'll ask John/Laurie about adding that into the next release (due out mid June)

sorry to open this old thread but I wonder whether low battery notification was implemented as I see nothing in aqi json messages about low battery.
I have installed the aqi and it is running with the reduced power option. However I am confused as to whether the battery/solar is charging and if the battery is low or not. I do seem to have issues with no data from the aqi being received and when I open the unit I see some of the leds flickering. I throw the battery disconnect and wait for a few mins and switch back on and it works again. I am in thailand so the solar should easily charge the battery...I hope.
I am struggling to see in the json data what I should be looking for to see what is good and what is not. This is my last data received from aqi...help appreciated.

Your battery voltage is low < 3v
The value of 6 in auxa is translated as Low battery, Solar present, and controller present.
