Over the past few weeks, I've been working to deploy my GroveWeatherPi system. Finally deployed it on 7/3/21, after two years of sitting in my basement. Yep, I'm slow!! During the development, I noticed that the HDC1080 sends back good temperature data but the humidity is always 0.0. The station is deployed in my barn where it can get warm on a hot day. But the ventilation is pretty good. I don't believe I did anything that would have broken the sensor. Temperature readings are good but no humidity. Do these sensors go bad? What are some of the failure mechanisms for the sensor? I've read that if they become contaminated, they can go bad. Is there a way to correct the sensor issues or to determine if indeed the humidity component has failed? I'm open to picking up a few more boards if this is the case? If you would like to see my deployed station, you can view at www.n8mdp.com/wxN8MDPStation.phpThanks for your advice and suggestions.

Thanks for the heads up on condensing humidity. Before I deployed it inside the barn, the test setup was on my porch where it could have been exposed to moisture. I did put a chair pillow over the board but anything is possible. I'll put an order in for a couple of boards.
