I just bought the WeatherSense Wireless WeatherRack2 (waiting for it to arrive). My question is why a custom rtl_433 is used instead of standard rtl_433. I already have a couple of sensors I am using. I am assuming weathersense has its own decoders, etc. Is weathersense rtl_433 a superset of rtl_433?
Current rtl_433: rtl_433 -R23 -R73 -C customary -F json | mosquitto_pub -l -t Sensor -h 192.168.1.75
R73 will be replaced with -R146/147 I am assuming.

The version from SwitchDoc adds their devices. FT020T, F016TH, SolarMax, SM23, WeathersenseAQI, WeathersenseTB, and WeathersenseAS
The running command is: rtl_433 -q -F json -R 146 -R 147 -R 148 -R 150 -R 151 -R 152
See rtl_433/includes/rtl_444_devices.h
Without going through the src, I'm not sure what else has been added/modified

JavaJoe,
Eventually we will put the SwitchDoc Labs sensors in the main distribution. We are waiting for them to release non-number IDs so we can future proof the software.
