Hi doc, my new Skyweather2 is working but the weather rack keeps freezing. (The indoor T/H sensor shows that the RPi 3B I am using with your software SD card is correctly working and continuously monitoring. The dash app is working too.) The freeze started sometime last evening. We had rain last night. I have reset it twice now this morning. On the first reset it worked for two readings, then froze. On the second reset it appeared to work on the first readings but all readings since are frozen. As directed the weather rack has 3 new AA batteries and is mounted level and oriented N/S. The 433 Mhz radio antenna is in line of sight to the weather rack located about 8 yds away (inside my shop) appears to be working. And after reset it transmits new reading no problem.
I hope I didn't get a bad weather rack. Please advise.

After that outage it now seems the weather rack is working ok. I was worried that our very high humidity here in Va was causing condensation inside the weather rack leading to a short. I always put desiccants in my outdoor electronic boxes. But After I posted the above message, I ran your weather rack diagnostic code and found the USB connection might not have been good. Its very possible I moved the RPi when the rack went offline. I have made sure the antenna USB connector is tight and also am now checking the weather sense status light.
But should I open the weather rack and put some desiccant inside? Or are you confident the rack can handle large changes in RH up to 100% on a daily basis?

Berne,
Interesting. I'm not sure if you are saying things are working or not. I'm a little confused.
I think your desiccant is a perfectly good idea and you should do that. We haven't heard of the WR2 having problems (our test units haven't), but hey, it could be a problem.

Thx, Doc. It is working since that initial outage. If I have another outage that seems related to excessive humidity I'll do the desiccant. Am getting the parts to assemble the 3D printed box that contains the Pi. Do plan to mount that outside so I will put desiccant in that.
