OK - figured it out - I'm using MQTT to grab data from SkyWeather to put into weewx. So, I had started an mqtt server on THAT server, and pointed MQTT_URL (in SkyWeather config) to that. Of course, when I pointed the CAMERA at my skyweather host that (obviously, D'Oh!) didn't work. So - I have a path forward! Still some work to be done on mqtt publish, I think (I sent you some suggestions on that a while back) and my AQI is still having "settling" issues with the default timings.
I'm gonna ignore the rain issues - much of my problems are caused by wind "rattling" the sensor. I solved it by buying an Accurite gauge that I'm gonna mount on a post about 5' up and just use that for my "official rain"
You're gonna see an order from me for 3 more SkyCams and I want to have a discussion about powering more than 1 SkyCam from a single solar cell (MUCH bigger, of course) and battery - my ultimate goal is to do 8 cameras so I send the data to picturepost (https://picturepost.ou.edu/index.jsp). Stay tuned.....

OK- on the one SkyCam I have right now, I'm seeing a maximum battery current of about 170mA.
The rating on the SolarMax says max draw of 5A. So, could I run 8 ESP32Cams on one SolarMax2?
I assume I'd only need the ESP32CAM "board stack" and not the power board; could sell me those?
The I'd need to come up with a smaller case for the ESP32 boards - I've seen some of those on Thingiverse.
Does the SolarMax have a 12V output? I've used several 12v->USB "dongles" to power Pi's and other controllers around my lab already, I could use 2 of those to supply the power to the ESP32Cams
I really like the messaging architecture and interface you have for the ESP32CAM, I'd probably just use that and pick off the files I need for picturepost.
Does all of this sound reasonable?

Yes, should easily be able to run 8 ESP32 Cams. We keep getting requests for the ESP32 Cam stack, so we will add that into the product list. They require hand assembly, so they won't be cheap but we will do that.
Yes, SolarMAX2 has a 12 V power supply.
It does sound reasonable. I'll edit this posting when I add the ESP32 Cam Stack.

Hi - any word on the Cam Stack yet?
I'd love to get started, and will definitely give you an initial order for 8 and a Solar Max.
My single SkyCam is now working fine and mounted outside.
My plan is to set up a separate Mosquitto server for the PicturePost

OK! We will try to get that up on the site today. I have to call Laurie and get the pricing, but I can build some later today.
