OK - figured it out - I'm using MQTT to grab data from SkyWeather to put into weewx. So, I had started an mqtt server on THAT server, and pointed MQTT_URL (in SkyWeather config) to that. Of course, when I pointed the CAMERA at my skyweather host that (obviously, D'Oh!) didn't work. So - I have a path forward! Still some work to be done on mqtt publish, I think (I sent you some suggestions on that a while back) and my AQI is still having "settling" issues with the default timings.
I'm gonna ignore the rain issues - much of my problems are caused by wind "rattling" the sensor. I solved it by buying an Accurite gauge that I'm gonna mount on a post about 5' up and just use that for my "official rain"
You're gonna see an order from me for 3 more SkyCams and I want to have a discussion about powering more than 1 SkyCam from a single solar cell (MUCH bigger, of course) and battery - my ultimate goal is to do 8 cameras so I send the data to picturepost (https://picturepost.ou.edu/index.jsp).
