Hi,
Thinking out loud on this. I have modified the SkyWeather MQTT client code to use a clientID that has a 4 digit random number at the end of the string ("SkyWeather1202") for example.
I was just checking the mosquitto logs and I'm not seeing drops like I used to. I will monitor and see if I can confirm it.
Might be worth a try to see if that helps this issue.

Interesting - I bought a MightyOhm Geiger counter and have that hooked up to a Raspberry Pi Zero, feeding WeeWx through MQTT.

WShealy,
That is the subject of our meeting next week. Doubles the size of the project because we have to move all our software to Bullseye to create a new image.
