Good morning everyone. I have decided to sell my SkyWeather2 and extras. I was an original backer for it and the addons, but I find I don't have enough time to do the programming in order to use it as I wanted. Included are: SkyWeather2 SkyWeatherPi camera Lightning detector Solar AQI Solar Camera All case hardware and extra parts (screws, gaskets, misc) All batteries for the solar kits 3D printed cases for the lightning, aqi and camera. SD card with fresh SDL build on it.
Does not include Pi
It's been a fun and sometimes frustrating kit, and the help from people here and Doc has been outstanding.
Cost for all of this new is well over 800.00 Would like to sell for 500 plus shipping. Paypal or Venmo or CashApp
Please message me here with questions or to purchase.

Interested, but new. Sounds like this might be complicated. Is this system more advanced then others or are the differences small?

I know this is a pain but I want this to be shipping this to Thailand. Could you tell me the size and weight of the box so I can judge what the shipping costs might be?

I did not word my inquiry well. I want to dive in and set up a system without experience. That said, is this system too much for a pi/switch doc beginner? if it is, can you point me towards a better set up? Of note, I am a weather tech. and have some basic experience with electromechanical things. Sorry for dropping so much in your classified post, but I didn’t see an intro thread that met my needs. Thanks!

Smiles, You can start your own thread.
Basic assembly is pretty straight forward, no soldering. You either have to get the parts bag or get what you need. By the time I did one or two I stocked up on screws, weather proofing supplies, etc. As to how much time beyond that it is a makers kit not a caddy (high end ready to use station). Although it has all of the "bells and whistles" of a high end. I am always by code or hardware trying make it do more. The treads about night photography and others show that. I am pushing the MQTT to bridge to my HA box. I also have on my todo list Dash mods and learning to tinker with code via Arduino IDE. So can you get it up easy, yes but do you want it custom and in weather proof case well that takes time. Think Maker kit not high end ready to use station. I have a Tempest for that and I want it to do more. It is cool to compare the two for calibration. The virtual rain sensor on my Tempest isn't reliable but the main station on my Sky2 has run like a champ since the Kickstarter. W

Thanks W, that is a big help. I’m going to look at the options then maybe start my own thread. I appreciate you taking the time to drop in and help me out! Best, Miles
