Doug,
No problem all! We like happy customers! I hadn't even noticed until you mentioned python. Plus remember, I had duplicated your problem (or thought I had). Maybe freeboard.io was having a bad day.

Great support, thanks. It made total sense once I saw the part of the manual I missed. Now I'm looking forward to the Alexa connectivity! I've hacked together several switches using Wemos, so I think I'm ready for it.
I'm glad I supported your campaign, thanks again.

Pictures are coming! Freeboard.io seems to 'capture' about 10 minutes of data in their charts (like sparklines). Two questions: 1. Are there alternative dashboards that allow for longer periods? 2. Is there a way to capture long periods of data using other logging and parsing/graphing apps?
thanks in advance...

Hi Doug,
Yes, there are tons of alternative dashboards out there, many using MQTT. That is one of the wonderful things about using PubNub and MQTT is that it is a general purpose well supported data interface based on JSON.
You can build a logging App that will "subscribe" to MQTT and then you can record all the data you wish. You can even modify the software to send data that we didn't think of!
You have just given me an idea though. We have a piece of generally configurable software called SDL_Pi_DataLogger and you just gave me the great idea of actually connecting in SmartPlantPi to DataLogger (which already supports OurWeather and other devices). Thank you!
Best regards,
BP

I love the idea! Let me know how it goes, I would love to try it out.

Hello, The dashboard006.json in the git repository is not up to date. I had to download the update from this thread to make it work. Best, Romain

romain,
We replaced the JSON in the archive (version 014), but it is identical to the one in the archive. Did you set your subscribe keys? You have to do that before anything will work.
