HI!
About 10-20 times a day, our Aenometer measures wrong wind-gusts between 100 and 500(!) kph (we have 15-40kph right know).
Is this a known problem? And is it possible to discard implausible measuring points before sending it to the Wunderground-Network?
thanks for hints in advance!

Hibbes,
This is a known problem and it is scheduled to be worked on in the second half of June (alone with a few other minor issues and a small feature update). If you can modify the code, you can easily throw away the outlier values. If not, you will need to wait for Version 022.
We are almost certain that the problem is caused by improperly handling several fast interrupts coming into the computer. We have seen it on Arduino ESP8266 systems and also on Raspberry Pi based units. Since the drivers for the anemometer are basically the same (interrupt driven), we have some kind of design bug.
Best, BP

Thanks for that prompt reaction! I'll wait for version 022.

It's on our list (#2 priority!). Next week!
We have ordered a high volume fan that we will convert into kind of a wind tunnel (push all the air into a PVC pipe so it can push the anemometer really fast) so we can duplicate this in the lab.
We know it is an interrupt routine problem. Overruning interrupts we guess. These can be nasty problems to debug, hence the giant fan coming our way!

Here's a picture of the wind tunnel for the test! BP
