Hi RG,
Yes, we are planning native support of the RaPiConnect App for the Arduino in the future. Our current product is using an XML based communications protocol back and forth for the Raspberry Pi. While it is very wide featured and easy to modify and understand, it is a little "heavy" for a small microcontroller like the Arduino, not to mention being written in Python.
We plan to support the Arduino by using a JSON based protocol to provide the major functions and reporting mechanisms for the Arduino. No date from the engineers for delivery, but it is in our product plans.
