Folks, Laurie (our beloved president) has asked me to post a list of the SmartPlantPi features planned for the V018 version. And no, I don't have a date for release yet! SmartPlantPi V018 Feature Release- Support for new SwitchDoc Labs Lightning Detector Extender Kit
- Integration into SwitchDoc Labs DataLogger (at least the database portion - and an example graph or two)
- Addition of REST interface for SmartPlantPi
Please feel free to suggest more, but remember, adding stuff is hard and this is OPEN SOURCE! So you can do your own stuff too. We like to add things that aren't easily done by the community or new support for hardware. BP |

Doug, That is such a great compliment! We really appreciate it. Regarding Beer. You can just buy more product from us which causes Laurie to buy we poor engineers more beer. It is a virtuous circle. Doug, So are we! We have Alexa working in the lab, but it is just too complicated to have customers do this. Major project. We are now looking at another way of accomplishing the same thing, but simpler. Still waiting on the lightning boards! We have released V018 as of this afternoon. It fixes the problems that SmartPlantPi has had with Stretch, the new version of the Raspberry Pi OS.
V019 is going to contain Alexa and that is what we are working on now!
