Jeff,
I'm trying to trace your SDA and SCL wires from the Raspberry Pi to the SunControl board. Do you have pull-ups on SDA and SCL? Make sure that SDA goes to SDA and SCL goes to SCL. If you are SURE that this is true, then you have a bad board for some reason.
Now, before you do that, connect your I2C temperature and humidity sensor to the jumpers that you have plugged into the SunControl board to eliminate bad wiring or bad wires.
Hope this helps!

SDA is connected to SDA SCL is connected to SCL
Left every thing else in place and replaced SunControl board with HTU21D board and the HTU231D board worked using python script provided by AdaFruit.

OK! That's the proof we were looking for. You can either return it to Amazon and get another, or you can send it to us at:
SwitchDoc Labs RMA #021018-01 909 S Shelley Lake Lane Spokane Valley, WA 99037
and we will send you a new one after testing the old one (but probably before).
