Recently purchased the air quality sensor for my ourweather project, but I'm trying to determine what the best positioning of the sensor should be. I'm guessing the sensor will be of little use within a sealed weatherproof box, but perhaps I'm wrong?
How have other people dealt with this issue?

I could swear I answered this question yesterday. I must have hit the wrong button.
No, having the Air Quality sensor in sealed box is not going to product good results.
We have people mounting it behind a screen on the bottom of the box (to keep water out of it) and even some people put a small fan to blow air by the sensor from the outside.

Thanks for the response. I did look around the forum but didn't see anything.
A screen was my first idea. I'll have to figure out something to deal with snow / rain.

Can you run a piece of plastic tubing from the sensor to outside the box?

Mr. M,
I don't see how that is going to give you good results at all. There won't be much air movement in a tube. I have placed a fan in front of one (in front of a screen covered hole) in Project Curacao2, but the system crashed before I got to those experiments. I'm heading down to Curacao in early August to fix it and then I can run the experiments. Tough duty, but someone has to do it.

I have the Lightning Detector up and running on a RPi 2B and wonder if i can connect a AQI sensor to the Grove Board and run simultaneously on the RPi.

Thanks very much. Sound fairly easy
However, based on this statement from the instructions...." but the real problem is that you can’t reliably reduce the I2C to 20,000 baud on all Raspberry Pi devices (Zero, W, 3B+, 4B) and it just doesn’t work at all on the new Pis and the Buster OS. The driver will not work."
What is the situation with the RPi 2B I will be using as there is no mention of that model being a problem ?

The 2B should work just fine using the technique in the article. Maybe there is another way to do it on the 2B, but this will work.

When I purchase the HD3301 AQI sensor kit is the Grove connector wire for the Pi2Groverboard provided?
