I noticed that there is shown a graph for humidity and air quality - how do I get these for any sensor and for an period of my choise? Sorry for being obnoxious but I really see the benefits of this as an learning platform . I also noticed somewhere (not regarding SmartPlantPi) connection to mysql for datalogging. Where do I start utilizing it? Regards

Hi Turbon,
You need to modify the software inside the SmartPlantPi to send the additional information to the dashboard. You are not being obnoxious.
Both freeboard and the SmartPlantPi.py software is easy to modify and add more sensors to the dashboard. Look at what we did with our controls and then you can add your own.
You do all the editing and sensor channel stuff on the FreeBoard.org page and then you dump your own JSON. You don't need to modify the JSON yourself.

Well I have a problem with the temperature reporting to pubnub - it adds the F/C part so I don't get a graph on temperature as it seeminly doesn't like the addenum of Fahrenheit or Celsius in the stream. I only get "NaN" in freeboard trying to click on where the temperature line is supposed to show up.
I can see the addenum running listen.py - {u'SmartPlantPi_Temperature': u'23.0 C',
Freeboard does not like the added C in the sensor stream.

You can remove it from the SmartPlantPiPython code. Everything should work then.
myMessage["SmartPlantPi_Temperature"] = "{:4.1f} {}".format(returnTemperatureCF(state.Temperature), returnTemperatureCFUnit() )
Remove ", returnTemperatureCFUnit()"
