Where does this board hook into the GroveWeatherPi? I know the "old" one had to be solder into the weatherboard, but I was hoping the HDC1080 would just plug in to one of the other boards vs. cutting a plug and soldering it in.

It has an I2C interface and plugs into any Grove I2C plug. If you are building a GroveWeatherPi, then plug it into an I2C port on the same I2C bus segment that the WeatherBoard is on.

Glad I was looking for how to solder it Now it seems to be plug-and-play Now find the correct bus segment

Would D20/D21 be e good place? The other direction the grove connector says "serial"

No, that's not an I2C plug. HDC1080 is an I2C device.

Ah, so I need to use the I2C connector on the same row?

On I2C Mux segment 0, yes. This is GWP.
Same segment as the WeatherBoard.

I choose a spot I thought was good, it showed up as 40 in the tca9545 test, but I get no values and the lightning board is reported missing also. So forgive my ignorance and please just tell me on what board, in what connector I need to plug it. I removed it again, to have the lighting board function again.

It needs to be connected to Segment 0 on the I2C Mux board. An empty I2C slot connected to J2 on the I2C Mux board. that is the same segment that the Weather Board is connected too.

BP Since my last post I have stayed away from thing out of pure frustration not knowing what to do. I did some drawing then and decided I would plug it in the hub, which "is" Bus0 as I understand. Feel better now

Peter,
Great picture. That gives me an idea regarding the updating of the GroveWeatherPi kit.

Go to a more graphical based wiring diagram from the Wiring List table. BP

Just one last try... Can someone confirm, the HUB is the right place to plug the HDC1080 into? Because when I do, I loose alle regular temperature readings and the pi crashes eventually. I know it has to be on Bus0, I think the HUB is Bus0, but I like to be sure. So far, I still have a very unreliable setup.
