I down loaded version 6 of SDL_ESP32_BC24DEMO but I get a compile error message. The attached file is the error message. The SDL_ESP32_BC24_COMPASS compiles and runs. I am using Windows 7, and followed the directions in Adafruit to install the software to Arduino IDE 1.8.5. The blink sketch compiles and loads. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Hello Raider, Interesting. we compile successfully on 1.8.5 on the Mac. First thing I would do is try to install the SDK again. I just looked at the Windows instructions, and what a mess. We will install the latest version of the SDK on our IDE 1.8.5 and see if they have broken something in the updates. Sketch uses 900926 bytes (68%) of program storage space. Maximum is 1310720 bytes. Global variables use 40328 bytes (13%) of dynamic memory, leaving 254584 bytes for local variables. Maximum is 294912 bytes. BP Attachments:

OK! We loaded the new version off the SDK on the Mac (ours was about 3 weeks old) and it is broken on the MAC too. I'll fix and release a new version of the DEMO software.

We just uploaded new versions of SDL_ESP32_BC24DEMO and SDL_ESP32_BC24_AIRQUALITY that fix the problem reported by raider.
The issue is that Espressif broke the latest version of the ESP32 SDK for the Arduino. We added a kludge that takes care of the problem for the time being until a fix is released in the main code.
Best regards,
BP

Thank you. Connected to WiFi with WPS button. Now to figure out the lights and UTC offset for clock. Thanks again. Raider

Had problems on the Mac so I thought I give my MX-Linux Debian ago. Still having trouble. The ESP32 drivers/package installed without any problems following the Adafruit link. Now trying to compile the V007 Demo software and I get the following error.
Arduino: 1.8.5 (Linux), Board: "Adafruit ESP32 Feather, 80MHz, 921600, None"
/home/scott/Arduino/SDL_ESP32_BC24DEMO-master/SDL_ESP32_BC24DEMO/SDL_ESP32_BC24DEMO.ino:69:21: fatal error: TimeLib.h: No such file or directory compilation terminated. Multiple libraries were found for "WiFi.h" Used: /home/scott/Arduino/hardware/espressif/esp32/libraries/WiFi Not used: /home/scott/Arduino/libraries/WiFi exit status 1 Error compiling for board Adafruit ESP32 Feather.
This report would have more information with "Show verbose output during compilation" option enabled in File -> Preferences.
The TimeLib.h file was not located within the directory of the Demo software, so I downloaded a version from the Internet and added it to the demo directory. Restarted the IDE and still no joy.The computer does recognize the board as being attached to the USB port.

Update:
I have the board connected to the WIFI with the use of the IOT Epressif phone app, I think, as there is no other way it could have connected. I have a single greensh LED at the 12 o'clock position.
Arduino IDE sees the devices a USBtoUART.
The IDE still will not compile the new DEMO sketch. Still the problem of the TimeLib.h.

More playing, installed the Time-Master library into the IDE and the TmeLib.h problem has disappeared. Now another:

Powder Jockey,
You are using the latest Linux version of the ESP32 SDK? I'll have to try this on a Linux version to see what the heck is going on. (which I can't do until Wednesday - I'm on the road) The Mac SDK works perfectly now.
"esptool" is a tool that should be in the downloaded SDK.
Can you try to git clone the latest version?

I believe I have the esptools install, from github. I've installed so many different things trying t get it work over the past couple of days, I may have things working against each other.

Here is what we have used to install the ESP32 on the Mac. learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-huzzah32-esp32-feather/using-with-arduino-ideSpecifically, these are the commands: Installation instructions for Mac OS Install latest Arduino IDE from arduino.cc Open Terminal and execute the following command (copy->paste and hit enter): mkdir -p ~/Documents/Arduino/hardware/espressif && \ cd ~/Documents/Arduino/hardware/espressif && \ git clone github.com/espressif/arduino-esp32.git esp32 && \ cd esp32 && \ git submodule update --init --recursive && \ cd tools && \ python get.py Where ~/Documents/Arduino represents your sketch book location as per "Arduino" > "Preferences" > "Sketchbook location" (in the IDE once started). Adjust the command above accordingly if necessary! If you get the error below. Install the command line dev tools with xcode-select --install and try the command above again: xcrun: error: invalid active developer path (/Library/Developer/CommandLineTools), missing xcrun at: /Library/Developer/CommandLineTools/usr/bin/xcrun xcode-select --install Restart Arduino IDE These instructions work for us. OK. I've given up on the Mac. I may have to totally gut the Arduino IDE and directories and start from scratch.
But back to the Linux laptop, I'm getting the error "71:19: fatal error: Clock.h: No such file or directory". The Clock.h file is in the same directory as the sketch, it shows up in the sketch so I'm a bit confused.
Any ideas?

#include <Clock.h>
and should be
#include "Clock.h"
Not sure what to the sketch, but it is working and the upload of the new demo sketch has taken.
Is there a way to find out what version is installed instead of looking at the colour of the lights?
