How do you set the time/unit to read the correct time? I'm 6 hours too fast and should be GMT -6.

In version 007, you have to set the variable in the code (which requires a recompile) . We will add a REST command to do this in V008.
ClockTimeOffsetToUTC = -25200; BP

Guess what! Bug time! Reseting the preferences by using the button clears the ClockTimeOffsetToUTC to 0!
I'll fix up a default reset value and post it up as V008 in a few minutes. You will need to clear the preferences and reset your Wifi (holding MODE button down when hitting reset)
Nice that you can compile things now!

Nice that you can compile things now! BP Only on the Linux laptop. I removed the IDE, deleted all of the Arduino folders, then started from scratch and I still have errors. I'm stumped.

I don't see any difference, do you change that number? (-25200)

You have to perform a reset to get the default to work on your BC24 - Hold the MODE button down while you push the reset button momentarily. This will erase your WiFi too.
Then it will use that number for the default.

Would something like this not be more effective in changing the time zone?

Interesting. I see where are you going with this. Let's see how setting it using REST goes.
