Hi,

Failed at scipy, but after instaling the python-matplotlib first, at least installation of scipy seemed to continue. That however gives the following error:

if(abs(fpms).lt.acc) go to 440 In the end installation fails.
Besides that, when I just run
sudo python GroveWeatherPi.py
I get an error about a missing module:
Traceback (most recent call last): File "GroveWeatherPi.py", line 117, in <module> import WeatherUnderground File "/home/pi/SDL_Pi_GroveWeatherPi/WeatherUnderground.py", line 9, in <module> import requests ImportError: No module named requests
Is there a plain step-by-step installation guide, with just the commands and no story around it?
I also read about a preinstalled sd card that might be come available? Although I realy like to build and compile the set myself, my final goal is a working kit So I do not necessarily need the card, but an image file for download would be very welcome.

Peter,
You don't have to worry about the warnings in the above message.
What version of the Raspberry Pi OS are you running?

Hi,
I use the 2018-06-27-raspbian-stretch-lite image which seems to contain version 9.4

On what Raspbian version the GroveWeatherPi software is written? I could try that version.

OK, after all the warnings, the compile finally ends again with errors...

Sorry to keep asking, but I am stuck on a software level now... Can you let me know which of the following raspbian version you develop on? That version should work for me also...

Peter,
I think your problem is that you are on Raspbian-lite. I have seen other issues with the lite version.
Here is how you check:
pi@RPi3-60:~ $ cat /etc/os-release PRETTY_NAME="Raspbian GNU/Linux 9 (stretch)" NAME="Raspbian GNU/Linux" VERSION_ID="9" VERSION="9 (stretch)" ID=raspbian ID_LIKE=debian HOME_URL="http://www.raspbian.org/" SUPPORT_URL="http://www.raspbian.org/RaspbianForums" BUG_REPORT_URL="http://www.raspbian.org/RaspbianBugs" This is off our GroveWeatherPi computer.

OK, the lite version is supposed to differ only in the missing GUI, which we do not use anyway on the headless pi, but maybe bits and pieces are missing because of that. I am downloading the full version now and will try the install on that image later on. Will keep you posted! Thanx so far!

The continuing story I installed the full Raspbian version and restarted the procedure. I get as far as the installation of scipy. After three hours, the memory is full and I get a

Oh, after some time, I could reconnect with the pi and got the following result from the scipy install:

OK, now we are back to the -j1 problem. Out of memory.
It is clear that I need to duplicate the problem. I will spin up a new image later today and try to compile it myself on a Raspberry Pi 3B+
What Raspberry PI are you using?

Was about to provide some more info. I use a Rapsberry Pi Zero W+, so a WiFi capable one. A history of all commands I used would still help? Or is the current problem clear enough?
