Keep nagging, because I need this to work. Now the system does not get powered down and restarted. So... Any progress on this???

OK. We just tested the WatchDog on SunControl and it is working. Next up (and tomorrow or today is the day) is trying it on the WatchDog board. Stay tuned.

A while ago, I tried to work around this problem. I put a make-relay in the wire, that is powered by the pi. When the pi is powered on, the relays is closed and will connect the watchdog board with the Power Control board. When the software is stopped, the watchdog stops beeing kicked and the power control board, kills the power after the timeout. Then the pi loses power (obviously) and the relay opens, disconnecting the watchdog from the power control board. When the battery is charged again, the power control board restores power and the piis starting up again, putting power on the relay, connecting the power control board with the watchdog again. Since then the shutting down and restarting works fine.
This is a workaround. Still hoping for a more professional sollution.

That is definitely a real work around a problem that shouldn't exist. We use this WatchDog and USB Board combination all the time.
So, please again give me the update on what you are trying to do now and why our approved version fails for you. Sorry if I am asking you to report things again, but let's look at it again.
