By now, rereading the drawing and googling some more on zener, I come to realize, that although the drawing might "look" different, but electronically all the zeners are on the same line  , since the panels are parallel  So... One 2W Zener on the line should be able to absorb the current?

You could draw a large amount of current through there on a bright day. I'd put at least 10W. I used 20W.
The power dissipation in the diode is 6.2V * Current through the diode. If the battery is charged, then all the current goes through the diode. Could be amps.
