Hi, I jumped on the GroveWeatherPi project since it had everything I always wanted to have in a weather-station. Most important: Lightning detection and obviously all the other weather stuff, and as an extra bonus, a high DIY aura... I lack knowledge in electronics. What I know has been fading away for 30 years in my memory. I lack knowledge in python, it is way different to the Clipper I used to code "in the old days" I lack knowledge on solar powered systems. Basically I feel I do not know enough to make this project the great success I hoped for. It's not as plug-and-play as I might have expected. So... Is there some kick start RTFM to get me up to speed? I absolutely hate online references, the first thing I do is print them, so an actual book would be preferred. ePub or mobi would do as well My e-book does not like pdf's though. I really want to make this a success by myself, I do want to dig into things but I just don't know where to begin. This is what I got so far Edit: I relalize it's not gonna be one ring to rule them all

Peter,
It is an advanced (or intermediate) project. You are doing GREAT! It is pretty much plug and play, but there are a lot of plugs involved!
I would recommend getting a Raspberry Pi for Dummies book (It's not for dummies, it's just the title) and a Python for Dummies book.
Bootstrap your knowledge. You have already come so far and you don't even realize it! I've been answering your questions for a long time and you are methodical, so you will succeed.
BP
P.S. Did you know John Shovic is writing a new Python All in One for Dummies book? And he is using the Raspberry Pi! It is consuming him.
P.S.S. I'm going to take your picture and put it up on Instagram. It's too cool.
