Folks, SwitchDoc Labs has now released the newly designed version of SmartPlantPi, the Smart Garden System. It supports up to 9 plants and also supports the Blynk App for remote display. The Good News for SmartPlantPi customers is the software for the Smart Garden System works with the SmartPlantPi hardware (we designed it this way!). This means you can use the Smart Garden System, 4 plant extender packs and more with your SmartPlantPi hardware. The only limitations are: - The Smart Garden System does not support the button or the dial in SmartPlantPi. They do nothing in the new software
- The default sensor is our new Capacitive Corrosion Resistant Moisture Sensor. Smart Garden does support the old sensor, but you have to fiddle a bit with the software. You can get the new moisture sensor here.
You can also add all the new extender kits for the Smart Garden System. While we will be releasing more extender kits in the future, the first extender kit, the 4 Plant Smart Garden System Extender kit is available now.
You can download the new Smart Garden System software here. The Smart Garden System is preinstalled on our new pre-programmed SD Card available here. John

This is such awesome news guys! Bringing new life into my original Smart Plant Pi, couldn't be happier. Thanks - looking forwar dot picking up a couple of those capacitive sensors, that was a bummer with the original ones...

Looks like I may be taking a new position there in January. Is that far from you folks?

About 300 miles. We are near Spokane. However, we are in Seattle often so we should get together.

Any updates on the wireless version of the Smart Garden System? I was hoping to be able to monitor soil moistures wirelessly. Thanks.

We have been looking at it on a sporadic basis. We are new thinking that we might need a new board to be fabricated. We need a different processor.
