Hi! I'm new to Arduino. I bought this product to keep my family's Christmas tree watered. Being new to Arduino, I don't know how to use it. I have an Arduino Uno clone, and I also bought a USB boost converter that I thought I could use. I've seen wiring diagrams for how to power a 5VDC motor using the Arduino and a transistor, but what's really confusing me is the fact that this pump has a USB plug on it. Can you point me to any instructions? Thanks!

It is a USB controlled submersible pump. You control it by turning the USB power on and off. Since an Arduino doesn't have a USB plug, you need to have some other hardware. Take a look at the USB PowerControl (store.switchdoc.com) that you can control with an Arduino. You still need to supply power to the other end on the USB Power Control (powered USB Hub maybe? ).
If you had a Raspberry PI, it would be much easier. We use these in our Smart Garden System, but that is a Raspberry Pi based solution.
Best,
BP
