I know this is a first world problem but the sound of the Suncontrol board drives me bonkers. Not sure if it is the charging circuit or the load voltage circuit (I suspect the latter) but it emits a high pitched sound of varying intensity, seemingly also dependent on the air capacitance/humidity or the presence of other electrostatic fields. (I also noticed that the load output does not take kindly at all to static on TP3 - All I needed to do was to touch the TP3 with a tip of my voltmeter - with the other tip in the air - to switch off the output).
Is there a way to "harden" the board and to maybe even get rid of the sound? An additional capacitor somewhere?

lbendlin,
This is the first I have heard about sound coming from the Sun Control board. Can you identify what area of the circuit it is coming from? Does turning off the switch make it go away?

Yes, turning the switch off silences the board. However as you can imagine that is not really a long term option...
I'll see if I can craft a makeshift stethoscope to identify the source. (Maybe a straw?)
