Hi, I just finished my build and installation of the OurWeather kit. It was fun! Have got my station of Weather Underground (KVAESMON5 in Esmont VA). Two questions, how does the unit know the wind direction? Do I have to orient the armature in a specific direction to get the correct wind direction? (My wind direction seems at odds with the neighboring stations) Second, my temperature is reading about 4-6 degF high. I have a standard temperature plastic enclosure for the sensor. It is the white plastic louvered La Crosse unit half way up the poll. Will see the sun during sunny days. Can the temperature sensor be calibrated?

Thanks. After checking nightime temps it does look like sun is causing the discrepancy. I will add a sun shield above the sensor enclosure. And I will make sure orientation for the wind vane is correct per your advice. I have a bearing app on my phone which I can use to check.
