Hello BP and all; sorry as I did not make the purchase but was given over a box of parts to assemble (in March); it included a WeatherPlus rev. 2 board (has 2 of I2C ports I2C0 and I2C1) at Version 35, timer board (with 2032 type lithium coin cell), one I2C 6-port extender board, one AM2316 external humidity and temperature probe (which you were kind to replace early on), I2C connector, one roughly 1 in. x 1 in. OLED for display, also I2C connected, rain gauge, wind aerometer, two piece metal boom and 4 piece solar panel kit with solar controller and a FTDI breakout board. A 6 amp lithium batter with appropriate connector was later ordered. BTW, I have the first WeatherBoard, Rev.2 also, but have been using the 2nd board sent last month as a control or comparison test (no difference I think). We were going to quickly get the station assembled and boxed (I am planning to use a NEMA utility box from my work discard cage; I can plug the through-holes that we don't use; plan to mount the boon to the side with the two snap locks and use the backside for a universal mounting plate so I can attach to wall, pole, fence...). And use the FTDI to bring the output to a Raspberry for reformating to "Dire Storm" or some other weather reporting software that works with FM transceivers for the APRS end. I am currently starting over but notating the I2C ports and sequentially going thru them with the connecting cords to see if I can determine the failure (usually the external humidity and temperature or the Weatherboard Plus's on board temperature and/or air pressure sensor fail). I have one arrangement of OLED and AM2315 on the 6 port I2C board that stops the WeatherBoard Plus dead in its tracks- steady white led next to the wifi module can't even press reset on the board to release it - have to disconnect power. I'm using a 20 amp usb brick for power as I'm remodeling and have no ac outlet near the work table I'm allocated to this station build. I have no useful combination of OLED and AM2315 with both on the I2C 6 port expander board that doesn't immediately cause a 32F read or 0psi or nan% humidity read after boot sequence so I'm about to start with the MUX board I just received. Initially hookup shows the OLED has no display at all when connected to the remaining 4 I2C ports on the MUX so no putting the OLED on that anymore. Allen.

My bad, box also has a wind direction sensor; all connect to the RJ type 4 lead phone jacks on the WeatherPlus board with the weather vane and wind speed interconnected first then a single cord plus a single cord for the rain guage go to the main board. Allen.

Hold on, you are building an OurWeather kit. Not a GroveWeather Pi. Rewrite your email making sure what parts you are using. Like the WeatherPlus board, not the WeatherBoard.

Hello BP and company; Thanks; I setup the new board and new type humidity sensor and have not seen any unexpected readings for the first 3 hours; I am having problems getting to the wifi though, keeps timing out so I don't connect yet but I'll keep trying that tonight (I'm at work). I did find that the oled and humidity sensor cannot be adjacent on the I2C expander board; it locks up the WeatherPlus board as far as the display shows (frozen at boot, reset button and power disconnect no effect). Putting the humidity connector to far position of expander card was good enough for now to proceed. After I get connection I'll try the solar setup.

Calesar,
That is really interesting. That the AM2315 is sooo sensitive on the ESP8266. It must be barely working in your system.
Keep us updated.

Did I use the wrong parts name? I meant the new humidity sensor with the new board you programmed; on the 6 socket I2C board with the OLED; when the new type humidity sensor is connected next to the OLED connection the board won't go pass the Weather display on bootup when first powered up; reset button in not operative so have to disconnect power to try a hard reset but it stops at the first screen again and hangs there. Moving apart the OLED cable and humidity sensor cable (opposite ends on the 6 port I2C board for me - I'm in a hurry to see this work) is ok. I had my first 24 hours of normal data so far. Only bug is getting the wifi to let me in; only had two connections in about 40 minutes of resetting; got into the configuration and was able to get some data displayed but its just a transmission string without parsing, it does show the humidity sensor type though but no data for any sensor yet, otherwise all the sensor names are present, just no numbers and it doesn't advance to the next poll. I'm going to see if I can borrow a portable travel wifi/ethernet router to set up with a laptop just for this testing. Allen.

Continued good news; still getting proper results with the new setup; only observation is that over 30hours the rainguage (this is indoors and its not being jostled or rocked) shows 0.12in rain; its picking up false tics somehow. Allen.

Hello BP and all; So far with the new WeatherPlus board and new type humidity sensor I am now up to using the SwitchDoc html page to display on request the sensor data; there were some interesting bugs; after the first IP connect to the html page, the OLED would freeze up at whatever sensor it was showing when the html request button was used. After several minutes of no change I would have to press the board's reset button to start over but whenever I pressed the update or request button the oled would freeze (it was in large mode). I noticed the time and date were wrong so I disconnected power to the WeatherPlus and removed the RTC and reconnected; it worked ok with the html page, no more frozen display on the oled. I checked the lithium battery (3.17v) and put it back and returned the RTC to the WeatherPlus board; now its working ok on the SwitchDoc html page, making a update request doesn't freeze the oled anymore. Don't know what happened there. Is there a logging version of the page or is this just a test page to show the unit in function? Also, how do I get the WeatherPlus wifi to show; after running the html page I can't find the WeatherPlus on my laptop's wifi and I would like to reset the clock and date - it didn't take the first time I configured the wifi page and now I can't find it under Windows 7 on my laptop but I must be in communication since I can at will alter the oled from small, medium and large display. Thanks, Allen.

Moved this to OurWeather AM2315 issues.
---------- No logging of that page.
Can you ping the unit? After setup it shuts down the WIFi AP that you used to set it up.
